The Budget: Fiscal Year 1997-1998

AUDITOR GENERAL

      Funding to support the operations of the Auditor General's Office has increased by $1.109 or 3.0%. The total appropriation is $38.074 million.

      The Board of Claims has received a $72,000 or a 5.0% increase. While the Municipal Pension System Aid appropriation has decreased, the amount provided is the amount certified as necessary by the Public Employees Retirement Commission for financially distressed municipal pension systems.
