SENATE DEMOCRATS INTRODUCE NEW FISCAL PUBLICATION HARRISBURG, March 5, 2004 – The Senate Democratic Appropriations Committee has launched a new monthly publication on the fiscal status of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.The "Report to the People" will provide a brief discussion each month of one aspect of the state’s financial situation. The first report, issued today, explains the state’s current revenue shortfall as of the end of February, in relationship to the high probability of a year-end surplus. Sen. Vince Fumo (D-Philadelphia) is the chairman of the Democratic Appropriations Committee. # |
